Default help ASAP!!!!

My project is called "Weight Placement in a Pinewood Derby Car'' and im trying to see which car will move faster, with or without the weights. My problem is my teacher wants to know what's scientific about my project. What exactly is scientific about this project? Please help me.

Well from what you have said it sounds like you are measuring speed and velocity, which is in the scientific section of physics.

that is physics because velocity is the quickness in motion and like satfire said velocity falls under physics and physics is science that deals with matter and energy and thier interactions.and your trying to measure the speed of each car one with weight and one without weight

ok thanks but one more thing. Which car would go at the faster speed? the one with or without the weight?

That's the point of the experiment! Let us know what you find :-)

One more thing to add, it's probably obvious but the weights add mass to your car. Hence this project measures the impact on velocity when adding mass.

Where you add the weights determine the weight distribution. You should try adding in different places and measure if there's any difference in results.
