do you want to make a molecular structure of it?

Or do you want to make the actual metal. I dont understand what you are asking.

Default Manganese Structural Model

Thank You Very Much For Your Initial Reply. My Son (9th Grade) Has Been Assigned A 3 Dimensional Model Of The Element Manganese Requiring: Must Be Free Standing
Must Include Protons, Neutrons, Elctrons,
Correct Number Of S****Ss, Nucleus
May Use Any Materials We Like In Construction
Need A Legend That Identifies Protons, Neutrons & Electrons.
Yes, Mr. Mad Scientist, I Assume This To Be A Structural Model. This Is In Conjunction With A Written Paper About Manganese.
Chase & I (hapless Parent) Would Be Grateful For Your Counsel.

ScienceIsCool is truly a scientist!

Hi there

Just want to point out that it wasn't Mad Scientist who replied to the initial posting but Archenemy (who's actually very knowledgeable himself).

I looked dug around and found that you can actually buy molecular model kits on ebay:
Do a search on ebay for "Molecular model". You'll see a bunch of kits. I think this might save you time in terms of getting the physical components for the kit.

You should first pinpoint the structure. That would seem to be the main bulk of the thinking effort to me. By knowing the structure, you'll know how many ***** + sticks you need. Then research the kit to ensure that it has enough pieces & different colors for your needs (i.e. to represent the protons, neutrons, electrons etc.

Hope that helps.

Post A Magnesium model ?

Science is cool had some great ideas, in addition to what he stated about ball -and -stick could be a model since ball - and -stick are used to represent molecules, i think it would be great to use Science is cool idea, and you can also try this site maybe you can find something there.
