Default Arthropod!! AHHHH!!

OK, i need help with building a Arthropod. I still deciding what species to do. I'm probably gonna do a Spider. But here are the directions. Contruct a model using garbage (such as empty bottles, egg cartons, scraps of lumber or fabric, boxes, craft items, etc) Model must measure at least 60cm (2 feet) in one dimension (2 feet long, or 2 feet wide or 2 feet high). Model must be accurate in color, number of body segments, antennae, wings, eyes, and structures characteristic of your particular species......Grading is based on the following: Made of re-used materials -25points, 60cm in one dimension -25points, Accurate in color, segments, structures, etc. -25points, Prentation(knowledge of species, one unusual characteristic) -25points. Soooooo as you can see it's very specific. I have NO IDEA what I am going ro make it out of or anytihng like that. PLEASE HELP ME!!!

First, aren't spiders arachnids? Or are artharopods and them the same?
But anyway, I had to something like that last year. We used 2 foam spheres, connected them, and painted them black with a red hourglass pattern on top. We made the legs out of a black boa wrapped around pipe cleaners. (But I don't know if that would work in your case.)
