Default Science Teachers

I'm a science teacher (retired) and would be happy to help anyone who needs some guidance in their research/experiments. I think this forum offers us teachers a great way to do so!

So where should I start?

Default Apply to become a mentor

For starters, besides answering questions and helping out other members (which you can do immediately by going to any forum), go to the Forum on "Become a Mentor" here http://classroom.all-science-fair-projects.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=7 and follow the instructions to apply.

Hi Judy

What do you think we could do to get more science teachers coming to this website to help a kid or two. I really think like this website and think it's an AWESOME idea for teachers to help students. Well, I guess they might be busy helping their own students ... nevertheless, it's extremely rewarding to be of help to students who are earnest in their effort, even if they're not yours.

Hey perhaps you could send an email to your friends/teachers to tell them about this website?

On a more personal note, I'm not a teacher myself but have been toying with the idea. My mom and dad are both retired teachers. I'm an engineer by profession but I love teaching aspects of it (training others etc) equally as much as the engineering aspect. I've taught 6th graders in Sunday school before too and it was so fun.

Take care
ed

Talking Judy-

I agree with wisteria! Sometimes, questions just go over regular contributars heads. Thats why we need teachers like you and mentors like sciencefreak and crazed furom-freaks who have time to respond to everything like wisteria (Just kidding wisteria, we are lucky to have such a smart and helpful person on the team! ) Anyway, it's glad to have you on board and i know i speak for everyone when i say WelCoME!
