5th grade science project...help

we are going to make an investigatory project in our science class. the problem is i don't know what project to make. teacher told us to present the project in class. can u help me what project to make and how will i do it? i just want it simple but interesting. thanks.

Materials:

1 quart jar and lid (spaghetti sauce or mayonnaise)
Water
Towel


Procedure:

In front of the class, fill the jar with water and seal it with the lid. Wrap the towel around the jar and freeze it overnight.

Unwrap the jar in front of the class and ask for their observations. What happened to the jar? (The water expanded as it froze, forcing the glass to crack.)

Follow-Up Discussion:

Explain to the class that in nature the same thing can happen when rainwater gets inside the holes and cracks rocks. This small but constant process slowly erodes the rocks and changes the way they look.

That is basically due to anomalous expansion of water. Unlike other liquids which expand on heating and contract on cooling, water expands on cooling below 4 degree C. This behaviour is known as anomalous expansion of water and as brainy said, it causes the glass to crack and rocks to weather.

Does classical music help plants grow?
My hypothesis is that classical music will help the plants to grow. I also believe that the plants that listen to country will have their growth stunted.
