Default Science trouble

Well, I have something that you may be able to help me with. I am doing a osmosis/diffusion experiment. I was wondering if an egg shell would be a good object to test.

Post Osmosis/Diffusion project

Well, osmosis is the passive transport of water through the cell membrane. Think of the cell's membrane, outer covering, as a window screen. It is selectively permeable, which means certain items can pass through without the cell using energy, This is diffusion. When water is diffused though the cell membrane, this is called osmosis. If you are doing a project on osmosis, why don't you take an egg, (not the S_H_E_L_L) and crack it over a glass of water. Then take an eyedropper and see if you can force osmosis to happen by sucking the water up through the egg cells into the water dropper. I am not sure if this would work, but I will see if I can try it. I remember seeing a similar project on www.all-science-fair-projects.com . Why don't you look there and write back!
