Thumbs up Cool

When I was in 7th grade we did the same thing. I used foam balls and pipe cleaners tho. Food sounds more interesting. But make sure you keep it out of the sun

Best Wishes,
SmartyC

Yes, I believe that this is a good teaching aid, but, when doing it with older children, we must keep it exciting... for many of them are likely to become bored.

We did something like that in our class, except, we made it with what ever materials we wanted, and I ended up using a lot of food materials. I was a lot of fun actually.

I think it would be interesting to build a model of a cell using all nature materials. For example, one could use a monker ball as the nucliei and a crab apple for the nucleus. And the membrane could be made from soil/compost. And organelles could be made from rolled/dried and dead leaves. It would be so stimulating to look at, but would take a while to construct, but in my opinion, the most interesting to look at!

Beneath the boughs of an apple tree,
When a falling fruit landed on the
Head of the head of the family.
Mrs. Newton cried, 'Well deary me!
That could've caused an injury'.
But clever Isaac alone could see,
The situation's true gravity.
