Default 4th grade project on beauty or fashion

Hi there,

My daughter is very interested in clothes, hair, makeup, etc. She would love to do some kind of project based on those kinds of things. Any ideas?

Thanks.

Talking Clothes!

Which clothes do girls like, except the groups would be like boys, girls, and grown ups. There wouldn't be any control group, however, there would be lots of variables, so I'm not sure this project would work. After all, it was only off the top of my head!

Have her observe girls on what they wear , what they look like. have her do a survey on what is most meaning to girls her grade or older. ask questions out themselves like a quiz then throw in a few quetions about bands of clothes, makeup and hair styles. Hope i could.

Are you aloud to do a research paper on this for extra credit? Because this is a perfect example of what you should do for extra credit. It would be really easy too. Extra points.

I think the best idea for this is a survey, but that may not be the kind of experiment the teacher is wanting...one of my friends did an experiment last year doing that kinda has to fashion: to soak pieces of a bathing suit in chlorine for different lengths of time and see the amount of colour fading for each piece.
Okay I admit this isn't fashion

Default great idea!

I'm a student and I'm doing reserch for my science project at a higher level, but what I am doing is pretty easy, I am geting pictures off the internet of before and after shots of people with thir har done and makup on,(not cebs.)and interveiwing other people what they think in particulair if the before or after shot looks more intellegent. It is simpul but I recondmend am adult get the images some may not be apropreit for 7 and under. A nd it is just an idea to get you and your dauter stared good luck and try not to do the reaserch or any thing important your dauter is going to need lots and lots of practice. Good Luck, roxey101

Default Just thinking

Sorry if i offend, but if she's in fourth grade isn't she old enough to be online looking for her own ideas? I know I was in fourth grade. I don't want to offend you if you don't feel comfortable letting your daughter browse the internet, but I just don't want her to get in trouble because she had a parent do her project for her. Best wishes, Meep
