Talking Help On Background Reasearch

I need help on my background research...
can u help me with my research...
im doin a project of calories.
my question is: how much calories is stored in differnt type of food..
Im burning food to see how much energy is stored in differnt food.
im using a peice of popcorn, walnut, and samll bread piece as my experiment.
so can u give me some idea for these stuff. and also can u tell how calories affect ur body... I also want any information about calorie, oxidation, or other dietry stuff... thx a lot ... I wish to have this information in 2/4/06..

A bit overdue, but hopefully not too late.

Seriously, no one can give you background research, since you need a bibliography. I am only to willing give you points to research. Also, one more thing. You can't just take a piece of this and a piece of this and burn it. They have to be the same amount of food. They have to weigh the same. Of course 10 pieces of bread is going to have more calories than 1 walnut, even though if you take equal amounts of both, the walnut will have more calories. So make sure you weigh the pieces and they equal the same. Work with BIG pieces. Makes your whole experiment easier.

As for calorious, you should have how many calories are in one gram of fat/lipids? In one gram of protein? In one gram of carbohydrates? What are lipids, protein, and carbohydrates? (these are the three basic nutrients, though vitamins, minerals, nucleic acids, and water are considered nutrients, don't go too detailed into them. They'll get you into trouble because they lack the simplicity of the three.) What foods have protein, lipids, and carbohydrates?
