minnie30567746 is truly a scientist!
Talking Interesting

You could go to a local bowling alley and ask the manager. I'm sure he/she would know something. You can also see how slippery oil is with other types of balls. If you have a wooden floor available, you could try that. Very good idea, creative, and personal!

Default Bowling ball science project

A very creative science project, I must say!

Minnie absolutely right - you need to do your research to determine your project constants. To do that, you need to do a little research to understand what different types of surfaces and balls are used in bowling alleys. It would indeed be a good idea to speak to the people who run a bowling alley.

Once you have that information, you should decide on your hypothesis, and what are your project constants, independent and dependent variables.

I suggest you do a little research first, before forming your hypothesis.

Question I have a science project about bowling too!!!!!!!!!!HELP!!!!!!

I had to shoose a science project yesterday. It is about bowling. My question is: Does the weight of a bowling ball affect how many bowling pins are knocked down? Unfortunately my teacher said that I have to have a way to get the ball rolling exactly the same way for every single try. I don't know what I can do so that the ball can roll the same way. I need help as soon as possible because my mom is going to take me to the bowling alley on monday. HELP PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You can ask the bowling alley workers if you can use the handicap ramp. It allows the bowling ball to roll off of a ramp each time at the same place and the same speed (as long as you drop it the same each time and make sure it doesn't move). Good Luck!
