Default firefly

hi. i want to do an expirement to see what makes fireflies glow. i have done some research but i have no idea how i am going to do this. can you help me?

Well, I'm not quite sure how they glow, but I can tell you why. Fireflys glow to attract mates. Each male has a distint and different lighting patturn that attracts certain females. No patturn is alike. That's all I know and am not sure if its correct, but I hope I helped!
