It alters rate of heartbeat....
Eg:- Soothing music will slow your beats and thus you're calm and quiet while hard rock will excite your heartbeats so you jump and prance about!!!

The Newtons and friends were taking tea
Beneath the boughs of an apple tree,
When a falling fruit landed on the
Head of the head of the family.
Mrs. Newton cried, 'Well deary me!
That could've caused an injury'.
But clever Isaac alone could see,
The situation's true gravity.

Default Yes

Music surely changes my mood. Like one evening my mom siad, "Stop reading and do you work!!" I was cranky while I was cleaning, until my mom put on her music. Which is jazz and I wasn't as angry but still clamy

I know that this might sound a bit funny but, it could possibly help you. If you have satillite then have you seen a show on nickolodion called Ned's declassified school survivial guide, if you have then therse an episod where there is this little kid who ned must watch over, he turns out to be a little bratty kid and is always terriozing everyone else but when Ned plays this nice and soft I guess you can say jazz music his mood sort of eases down every second. So i guess music does indeed effect a person's mood. BUT then, once you have figured out the question that you have posted one other question could be "Does any type of music calm the nerves??? HUMMMMMMMMMM??????????????"
