Cool science project

can vinegar and baking soda propel a model rocket?

Baking soda and vinegar can propel a bottle rocket, as long as the solution exerts enough pressure to lift your rocket. If you want to make an experiment out of this, you could take an empty 2 Litre bottle, fill it with baking soda and vinegar and see how high it goes. You could use different amounts of each solvent and solute and measure the distance with a meter (or yard) stick.
I suggest that you fill the baking soda in first, as vinegar is easier to pour. Lightly place (do not screw on) the cap, turn upside down and shake. As quickly as you can, place the bottle on the ground, keeping your hand firmly on the bottom (now the top) of the bottle. When you're ready, let go. Also, remember, Pressure = force/area and is measured in Pascals. (Pa).
Make sure that your experiment doesn't get too simple, though. Most 5-year-olds have done this experiment where I come from.

Default making a rocket

how do u make a rocket with a peace of pipe and some wood fins?
