I really don't have a lot of botnic knowledge, perhaps you can look in the encyclopedia, or try and see which ones you can grow for whatever you are doing.

Well, you could use different soils, auch as sand, mulch, etc, and look up what they are made of, and the differences in the nutrients in each type. You might be able to tell which nutrients help a lot and which ones don't help.
