Wink Transpiration??

I wanted to do a science fair project on how the amount of transpiration differs in various plants. How can I measure the transpiration and what exactly do you think I would need?? Thanks! Reply back.

I have a great idea. You can set out a metric cup of water, and measure how much water is gone, and that subtracted is the amount transpired onto the plant. I'm not sure if it would work, but it's only an idea.

I did a test on transpiration a couple of years ago. I can't remember what they are called, but they are the little strips that turn from blue to pink when touched with water. I put my plants in bags with the strip inside, and timed how long it took for the strip to change colors, getting pretty accurate results.

If I remember the name, I'll post it here, but I just can't think of it right now.

but what do you mean by, set out a metric cup of water? do you mean with the plant in it or something because I got kinda confused by that?

oh, and our teacher requires five conceptual questions about our topic, could I possibly get a few examples of what that might be for this topic?
