Any ideas on a good acid and base experiment?

You could show what happens to certain materials in different kinds of ph liquids... I.E. Get a bucket of drain cleaner i think its 0 ph and put a material in it for 3 days or so.... Do the same with an acidic material like a coke. Hope it helped

you can make a homemade indicator using purple cabbage juice. all you have to do is steam the cabbage, strain it and voila! the juice is a perfect acid-base indicator.

try using it on vinegar and liquid soap to determine what colour it changes into in different media. then you can use it on just about anything! record all your observations and use in your project
