Default Egg Drop Project

Hi,

I need help on a project due next week, where we can't use any type of plastic, and it can only weigh up to 150g. The egg must also be easy enough to take out and put in.
I would appreciate any help that is given. Thanks.

Baloons, paper, string, toilet paper roll. That's what we did on our egg drop project.

Default Help?

we did this in grade 5. We weren't allowed to use a parachute it's kinda unorgininal....
anways....
what you need is materials that help soften that landing or slowit down. I think ballon is plastic so i'd consider stryofoam to cover up the egg. Make the shell bottem so that if it falls it will withstand most of the force. Eg. make a square out of toothpicks or something

Hope that helps...Go to the pound-o-meter to check the weight

Stuff the egg into a toilet paper roll. Cut it open if you have to, to fit the egg in. Then, surround it with paper on the insides so it would be a good fall. make three parachutes, attach with string. Then let it drop and see if it breaks or not. It doesn't really matter if it breaks or not because that isn't what you are being graded on.

Why wouldn't he let you use it? It's paper after all! Plus, you could use the actual toilet paper as cushion on the inside of a paper cup!
