Unhappy um i have a question...?

Um well hi I'm a sixth grader doing a science fair project on like the topic of decomposers etc. Well I didnt know, before the item decomposes it had to be dead. So can how I spoil a apple? I need to spoil these apples very QUICK. so please help me out.

OK well the key to spoiling an apple is tempture: so put it in a warm place (don't put it in the oven though cause you don't want to bake it) another way is leaving it out like normal but with cuts in its skin so bacteria can get inside and spoil it.

yea your right just leave it in the sun! but mabye you should cut it up a bit!

same as everyone, but maybe cut the apple in half or something and leave it in a hot place.

Cut it some, and leave it in a warm, moist place. That is a great way for bacteria to grow
