Default Hurricane science project

go to http://www.all-science-fair-projects.com/project832_21.html for a simple project on how to simulate hurricanes. If you're an 8th grader, your teachers may expect more - in which case I would suggest you can try the following hypothesis:

"Hurricanes move at a higher velocity over water (the sea) than on land)"

However, for a project like this, you can't possibly measure the velocity of a hurricane unless you have access to special equipment. Hence, you'll have to do lots of research at the library.

Incidentally, you should be posting this under Miscellaneous. This topic doesn't seem to have much to do with biology.

Try searching in google...you'll find great info and cool sites. Ofcourse the library is the best way to research your topic. Nothing beats the books...

The Newtons and friends were taking tea
Beneath the boughs of an apple tree,
When a falling fruit landed on the
Head of the head of the family.
Mrs. Newton cried, 'Well deary me!
That could've caused an injury'.
But clever Isaac alone could see,
The situation's true gravity.

satfire311 is truly a scientist!

Hurricanes start as tropical depressions, if that helps.
You could see what temperature of tropical depression creates the biggest hurricane
