Default Yikes! Earthquake resistant house

I need help with building an earthquake resistant house. We are supposed to use materials like straws and popsicle sticks to make it and it has to be on a 12 inch square base. I am not sure how to make the sides and the foundation.

In order for a house not to fall during an earthquake, the structure must be flexible. Perhaps you can build the house using straws with string threaded through it, to give it the rigidity, but also the flexibility.
