It is hard to test, let me tell you that. But you can find information and statistics on it from other experiments. Also, let me explain why it's so hard to test. Who are you doing to chose as the second-hand smoker? How are you going to "measure" the effect on the second-hand smoker (without having to pull out his/her lungs)?
Try researching your topic. If you're interested, don't worry about your experiment now. Research research research. you're going to get A LOT of statistics. I suggest you focus on a small part of your topic--narrow it down more, so your experiment will be somehow related.
