Default 5th grade science project

Make a three dimensional model of a doughnut-shaped eath. Place each of the present earths continents, oceans and seas on the new planet.

could such a plane actually exist in our solar system, why or why not?

Draw or paint a sunset as it would appear if you were a person living on the inner ring surface. Pinpoint your position in relation to the setting sun.

Clue---The size of the hole is equal to the diameter of the present earth.

Hmm, I think you would have to have a good knowledge of physics to understand if a donut-like planet could exist; properties of the core. I don't think it would be able to be held together, that's mainly a guess. Without the core, life wouldn't be present.
The second question depends on the angle of rotation.

Default Think!

It is impossible as then the Earth would have no core so it could not be compared to Earth now.Their would not be the same landforms or anything ng!

Head of the head of the family.
Mrs. Newton cried, 'Well deary me!
That could've caused an injury'.
But clever Isaac alone could see,
The situation's true gravity.

Post Yeah, good idea but...

You see there is a physics rule to answer the question...
"why do all planets make the shape of a sphere?"
You see its because the core always pulls things to its centre and so
imagine a sphere magnet, it would always pull the ironfillings onto its centre trying to make them into an appropriate shape which would be a sphere!

Anyway, read my signature and you will understand...

Yes, a nice quote, but there isn't a way for us to create a planet with no sphere.

This reminds of this theory that I read in this book. I forget what it is called, but it is a ring, with oceans, land, houses, river, trees, where humans could live. It would rotate around a source of light, synthetic or a sun. There would be plates around the sun that would cast shadows on parts of the ring to simulate night. Now, would this be possible? There would have to be a way to create an atmosphere to.
