Default Water Temperature

I am in third grade. What can I put into water to change the temperature? I want to do this at home for my science fair project. My dad is helping me.

Hello,

My name is grinner. your answer to your question is if you want to decrease the temp (make the water colder) you could insert ice. to increase the temp to the water (make the water hotter) you your hand in the water for a long pereiod of time.

To explan this is you could say that when you insert you hand into the waher the water is colder than your hand so it takes the heat from your hand and heats up the water.

Is thereare any more questions all you have to do is post another reply.

Well since you are in boy scouts you probably cannot use ice. I suggest using sopper rock, a very strange rock that produces cool waves. To heat it use 2 rocks beat the together alot drop them in water. Or use 2 sticks get them warm put them in water. To get them warm you have to make friction between the two by rubbing them together
