anyways... about Nicholas Copernicus (February 19, 1473–May 24, 1543)
he was a Polish astronomer, mathematician and economist, mainly remembered for developing a scientifically useful heliocentric (Sun-centered) theory of the solar system.

I think this was his best acheivement!!
Satfire, I believe you forgot to mention how tremendous his influence was, because, he braved the way as a scientific pioneer. He was before his time, and faced terrible ridicule to stand behind what he believed in!! He paved the road on which all scientists would travel!
