Acorns good project to try!

Hi, Im a seventh grader and i am now doing my science fair. I am doing the following project:

Topic:

I want to see what would happen if I were to grow two acorn trees but poke a hole in one trough the middle with a needle.

The Question:

MY question is, How will the hole in the acorn affect its growth?

Breif description on the experiment:

I am getting two acorns out of the yard and putting a hole in one through the middle with a needle and seeing if it affects its growth compared to the other acorn.

I really hope that this experiament is a good one for you and gets you an A++!

Um, you know science fair is a few weeks long? Are you planning on using DNA modified acorns or something?
