Lightbulb Answer to imlikelost's question

Because if you smell your foods, you expect a certain taste?

And a job well done to your son Dory =]
Have you ever felt being tested?
asking Him what to do.
And in your heart,
He's telling you,
"Have faith my little children
and keep your souls clean and new."
For when you least expect it,
I will make my big debut
Follow me to the heavens,
and to your small world, say adieu.

Prepare for judgment day.

Wink Answer to imlikelost

Most flavors are a result from a combination of taste bud and olfactory receptor stimulation. When you hold your nose, certain odor causing chemicals will not reach your olfactory receptors (located in a small area of tissue in the upper part of the nasal cavity). Taste and smell sort of work hand in hand.

The same thing happens when you are congested. Everything kinda tastes the same, but you can still tell if it cold/hot and its texture.
