Hi Kitty

Take a look at these 2 projects to get an idea:
http://www.all-science-fair-projects.com/project756_91.html
http://www.all-science-fair-projects.com/project757_91.html

Also the encyclopedia on this website is pretty useful! It has a whole description on fiber optics at:
http://www.all-science-fair-projects.com/science_fair_projects_encyclopedia/Optical_fiber

If you read further down on the encyclopedia page you'll see examples of it's use in real life.

All the best in your quest for a great science project. The important thing is to think as hard as you can to come up with an interesting project. The judges will definitely reward that.

The Newtons and friends were taking tea
Beneath the boughs of an apple tree,
When a falling fruit landed on the
Head of the head of the family.
Mrs. Newton cried, 'Well deary me!
That could've caused an injury'.
But clever Isaac alone could see,
The situation's true gravity.
