I meant the calcium and phosphate...

But try to look up this info from a good source, that acid dissolves calcium. If you get that, anything that has a strong acid is bound to be effective. As for acids, just know that it's anything with a pH less than 7 if you measure it with a pH paper. Actually, all you have to do, is find a website that lists all the common household acids and bases.

Baking soda is a base (they are slippery)
Acids (they taste sour)...most common are vinegar the acid in citruses, vitamin C (ascorbic acid), hydrochloric acid (nothing you'll find at home), and sulfuric acid (STRONG acid!).

I'm sorry I can't help you on the salt and sugar one, which is why I suggest you to look at what other things make up bone, outside of calcium and phosphate. There shouldn't be anything else, and with what I know, I don't think salt would have any effect. Plus, salt and sugar are completely different molecules, and it's weird that they'd have the same effect. Salt dissociates into ions, is inorganic. Sugar is organic, doesn't dissociate... The common effect they'd have is raising the concentration outside the cell so that water would diffuse out of a living cell.

1) Thanks!
2) Actually, salt and wine actually "harden" the bones. Wait, I think I said that already...
Thanks again.
