Lightbulb Fast one

In case you're still looking for help (or if others need help) I know a fast and easy dry ice experiment.
1.Get a block of dry ice.

2.Pour room temp. to warm water over it.

3.The dry ice will produce fog .

4. A nice fog experiment.

Default Cloud Chamber

This is a faily easy one that has great results.

You should be able to make a cloud chamber to see the trails of atomic particals by doing a search for cloud chamber on the web. You take a glass cilender that you can get off a Colman type gas lamp, then make a base covered with black velvet. and then a top plate covered in black velvet. Then a black shield to go about 180 degrees around the back of the unit. Put dry ice in the bottom or base of the chamber and a pin with some Radium on a pin stuck in the center of the base. put the glass on the base then the lid on and put the black back around the back and let it cool down. Point a bright beemed flashlite into the chamber and you shoud see trails from atomic particals radiating from the pin with the radium. you have to put Isopropyl Alcohol in the top of the unit so it goes down into the chamber. you can soak the velvet with alcohol. This works best in a dark room.

Best Regards

Sandy

Default Science Center

I saw this at a science center, see what happens when you put different things in. Can you shatter a banana? How easy is it too thaw it out? Try doing these things, and keep your mind open to any ideas!

Donvito, this thread is an entire year old. I think you should just post a thread because smg is totally inactive.

Thanks!

Default Top Left Hand Corner

Well you look at the top left hand corner of the post box and it tells you how old a post is.
