Lightbulb bubbley plants

This is a project idea for K-5 graders. This is the research question-do plants grow better or worse when watered with carbonated water? Plant the plant of your choice twice (catgrass grows quickly, and can be found at many stores) Follow the directions on the back of the seed package for one plant and do the same with the other but replace the water with carbonated water. Keep track of the plants progress.

Default Interesting botany science fair project

Hi there Rachaelrox,

Thanks for sharing your idea! Very interesting indeed!

Approximately how long should the observation period be, assuming we're using a fast growing plant like catgrass.

I think that she meant to periodically check the plants, but I am not sure if she meant to tell us how long the time you check the plants for was or not. wow that was a confusing sentence
