ThatGirl is helpful, nice and has lots of friends here

That's a great idea! Thanks.

We've decided we are going to try doing some food chemistry. We're going to see what paints and dyes we can make from food. It hasn't been easy to find information, but I know we have to either dry the berries, or cook them. If they are dried, we have to grind them to a powder and mix them with a binder. In reading some Native American stuff, I've decided I'm willing to try veg. oil or egg whites as a binder. Some of the other choices they used are...well..unacceptable.

We're are going to try to make the three primary colors. Any ideas for yellow?

We plan to do berries for red, as we have no ox blood on hand! The things they used for yellow are also unacceptable! LOL!
