OK so you take a straw or two and wrap it around the sides because if you hold and egg in your hands with the point facing your fingers (which are wrapped around the egg) and squezze it it wont break...

all you have to do is buy a big plastic bin and fill it with water and tell your son to get a pice of metal or plastic and push the water in the bin with the piece of metal or plastic or if you want...

you could buy a big plastic bin and get a plactic or metal board (small) and get your son to push the piece in the water to make a wave and if you want it to make a big wave buy a bigger plastic bin...

I think it's good because you know it will have good info, but in your experiment you should test like other sodas rather than just diet pepsi ( you know like pepsi, coke, mountain dew...

your results are easy to explain... the thicker each fabric or surface equaled the tempature because marble is very thick so it absorbs heat which caused the ice to melt faster, but the cotton fiber...
