The polution one doesnt make to much sense. Why not you test the conditions nessecary for a plant to live in. For example take 5 cups; 20 seed; water; and 10 paper towels. in each cup put paper towel...

That is rather difficult.....why not you find some sort of metal, heat it in the sun, the wrap the metal around a thermometer and take it into a dark room. The temp of the thermometer will help you...
