Stain Removers

Hi,

I need help and am desperate! I am looking for something to do with carpets and put food items on it to stain it and use stain removers to remove the stain and to see which one does the best job.

Hwoever, I cannot find a thing anywhere - can you help me? I've done in the past the mystery of melting ice, Lemon Electricity and Farm in Trees. This project that I'm doing now is my last one for middle school!

I did this one when i was in 6th grade. The way I did it was I stained various white all cotton T-shirts with things like Grass, Grape Juice and Red dye.

My Topic was: "What Detergent will do the best job removing the stains from the T-shirt under the same conditions."

I am doing the same thing but with pieces of material(cotton and maybe polyester) .

What would you use to test scientifically how much stain was left if you don't have a colorimeter?:(

Fabic

:lightbulb: If you want to find fabric to do this experiment on, ask your parnets if they can bring you to a good will store and look for shirts that are made of the same fabric and then they can not alter your experiment because the type of fabric may also change your results

Yeah that is what I did. I just cut up some fabric into the same size pieces.:)
