5th grade density project

im comparing liquids: baby oil, water with food coloring, and syrup; and solids: red seeded grape, push pin, arrowhead eraser. I've done the project but i need help with the research. its either too broad or too narrow.
Please Help! Im new here!

BroadwayBaby 01-02-2006 09:56 AM

Why are you doing research AFTER the project??

That's strange, I would really talk to your teacher, I'm sorry, but I don't think I can help you any further, maybe I'll round up some mentors to help. HAPPY LEARNING!!:)

All I'm saying is that you should explain your problem to your teacher after you return to school. I sent this thread to all the featured mentors so that they would help you!! HAPPY LEARNING!!:)

Explain...

Well, wha was your project. Would you mind explaining more, I red your first post and I'm very confused.

dragon_kid 01-02-2006 01:38 PM

i poured 3 liquids into 1 jar and they settled to thier density levels.

satfire311 01-02-2006 01:55 PM

Oh, well

That seems easy. Well, you do know that the lower the liquids sink in the jar, the denser they are right?

wisteria 01-02-2006 05:01 PM

Wisteria here...
back up in so what is this project really about?
I don't really get it?

Density science project

Hi there Dragon_kid

I'm assuming that for your project, you decided to compare the density of various liquids, namely, baby oil, water with coloring and syrup.

We know that you poured all the liquids into 1 jar and they settled at their respective depths.

Can I then ask, what you did with the grapeseed, push pin and eraser?

dragon_kid 01-03-2006 07:26 AM

i placed them in the same jar as they floated down to the liquid which is denser then the objecdt

minnie30567746 01-04-2006 11:59 AM

Oh,

I kind of understand. WEll, what liquids are you using?

dragon_kid 01-05-2006 08:33 AM

baby oil red water syrup
