I did it last year we did it with sulfur I think a blue substance... we put some on the watch glass and some in the beaker we covered the beaker with foil and left the watch glass open and over night I think it turned into crystles :confused: :( ...

a really really simple one (coz i don't know your grade!!!) is using salt.

make a saturated salt solution in a glass. Attach a string to the centre of a straw and attach a clip to the string. Suspend this in the glass so that the clip is in the solution. Within a few days u should see a salt crystal...

I use to do that experinment when i was in kindergarden it was fun... that is a good experinment sciencefreak ;) ...
