Good Qusetion

Very intriging question Minnie, I would say my top 4 would have to be...

1. Genghis Khan
2. Aldof Hitler
3. Matamata Ghandi
4. Gallileo

Satfire, that's Mahatma Gandhi, nor Matamata (ps: I think Matamata means "spy" or "private investigator" in Indonesian. Mahatma Gandhi was truely a great leader of the Indian nation.

I'll have to ponder your question a little more - it's not an easy one..and there are no right or wrong answers. But I do know that Mother Theresa is in my books for being the woman of the millenium!

PS: I don't think Adolf Hitler comes close to qualifying as the man of the millenium... as I would assume that the title should only be given to someone who contributed positively to humankind :)

Thank you

Thank you mad for pointing that out.(I have issues with spelling)
Also, it doesn't really matter if the person was positive or negitive in influence. Although, in school last year we watched a movie and Hitler was at the bottom of the list, number 20 or 19, if I remember correctly.

According to the A & E's Biography, the most influencial man was Johann Gutenburg. (Sorry in advance for spelling errors) Hitler was on the list, I believe he was 16. Galileo Galilie was number 10, w/ Nicolas Copernicus at a close 9. Almost all were scientists, emperors, or pioneers. Sigmund Freud was 12. Colombus was 6. Ganges Kahn was 23. James Watt was 25.
St Thomas Aquinas was 24. I have the whole list and will post it after to weekend. More to come!

According to Discovery Channels Who is the man of the Millenium?, Ronald Reagan was. Followed in some order by Thomas Jefferson, Abe Lincon, Martin Luther King Jr. and Heorge Washington. Personally, I did not agree with that show though, for example, Elvis Presely was in the to 15!

Wow!

I am watching the same AE Biography. So far, we are at the top five. My report is in the top five. Who do you think te number 2 person was? Who do you think my repot was on? I'll be able to answer soon!

satfire311 12-02-2005 01:12 PM

Cool! I think I saw the same movie last year. My person was Martin Luther and he was in the top five.

Cool, I'm a lutheran! A scientist is a person who solves questions, is Martin Luther a scientist? It depends on how you look at things.
