Intel Science Competition

Did anyone go to Washington DC to look at the projects of the Intel Finalists? I did. One student did a fabulous project of inventing a face recognition system. Another one used a CPU chip to reconstruct situations. Seems to be a lot more technology than with biology, and disease... And a lot of math ones as well.

Who do you think will win? (Winners would be announced either today night or tomorrow.)

Talk to me about it!:D

I watched a short video online where they interviewed some of the finalists..understandably, all the finalists said they were nervous (although they actually appear very confident!)

There's a video online? Can I have the web address Mad? I'm interested in entering this competition some time in the future, after I find a lab and a field to work in.:D

I can't wait until my mom lets me enter a big Science fair. Right now I'm just glad if I get as far as my distract Fair. But I would love to see the video, too.

It's quite short - but it does give us a peek into the atmosphere of the intel science fair

The winner of the Intel. First place went to a girl who studied water conditions at her nearby lake. Second place went to boy who studied the different paths around a point and how long can you go before getting to the origin.
