Co2

It makes them grow. Remeber Carbon dioxide+ water+sun light= plant food.

Global Warming

But too much is bad for them!! Remember Global Warming!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I mean differnent levels!!
Anyone going to reply????
Why yall like that??
Fine be like that?!

Well....

Like you said to much will make them die while to little they can not grow.
And sorry, but not every time your going to get help right away. Just don't get angry, OK?

Sry I didn't get to you sooner! (And I'm your leader...:( I'm sorry.)

Global warming isn't about CO2 having a direct impact on the plant, but about CO2 trapping the heat in the atmosphere, and therefore, the world warms up. (Hence, melting ice caps, etc.) HOWEVER, if you're interested, check out photorespiration. Rubisco attaches oxygen to a five carbon molecule (I think five carbon, tho not sure) instead of attaching carbon dioxide. Some plants, called C4 plants, uses another pathway so that less photorespiration occurs.

Here's a good site:

Look at its pages on photosynthesis if you're not familiar with the light cycle, the Calvin-Benson (dark) cycle, PGAL, the two photosystems, etc.

This site provides a graph. Use this graph on your science board if you need it.

Good luck!

Do you need clarifications on anything about photosynthesis and cellular respiration? Here! Go to the cells and tissuse subforum. I'll post up something there soon about photosynthesis and plants, kay?
