Area

Here is my question:

If you change the shape of the rectangle but not the actual rectangle, does the area change?

What I mean to clarify is:

A box with 10 fence pieces around it was changed into a different shape with the same amount of fence pieces. Does that change the area of the shape?

Good luck with this problem!

HEHe

lol, well is my answer right?

No, you are wrong.

Here are some combinations that complete the problem:

9x1=9
8x2=16
7x3=21
6x4=24
5x5=25

As you can see, none of these are equal. Therefore, you cannot change the shape of a rectangle without changing it's area.
