Freezing Hot Water: The Unexplained... Is it safe?
Well, I've just recently found a page describing the effects of a lower water temperature influencing a lower amount of time for it to freeze... but even so, scientists still haven't figured out why this happens, or what it's caused by. Is it safe to base a science fair project (an experiment) on this, even though they have not reached an explanation for their conclusion?

btw, I just recently joined, so help me out if I violate any policies or rules accidentally :p

Please post this under the forum 6-8 chemistry.

P.S. Since you are new to the site, this is okay. we at the Flp tell people if they post thread in the wrong places. To move this thread, go to thread tools, move thread, and select the correct forum.

That method doesn't seem to work. Only four options appear, and none of them are "Move Thread". Can't a moderator somehow move it to the correct location...?

Also, can't something like this also fall under the general category of physics?

mayb it's cause the cold water is already cold and it can't change as fast. with the warm water, ther's like a big range to go so it goes faster?
